As a huge beauty junkie but I will be honest summer is my least favorite time of the year to do my makeup. I have tried many things to make my makeup last during the summer heat and I feel like I have finally found a combination that works for me. To start off I have combination skin my t-zone tends to get very oily. In order for any makeup to look good on the skin you have to make sure you have a good skin care routine that way your skin looks it’s best. These items have been tested out thoroughly so far this summer.
I was so curious to see how this It Cosmetics CC Cream Foundation and the Your Skin But Better™ CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powder™ with SPF 50+ would look on my skin that of course I had to buy it. I will say I am very impressed with this foundation. This foundation has a very moisturizing feel to it. I don’t think this is completely matte but it has a silky finish. This is a full coverage foundation but it still has that natural look to it. The powder is amazing. It makes your face look flawless on top of the liquid foundation. Below are some picture of my before and after. I apologize about my eyebrows they are currently trying to regrow lol.
My after picture is with nothing on my face except the foundation and powder. I feel like this foundation is ideal for someone who is looking to look put together in a quick amount of time. This will definitely be my go to foundation for days that I am in a hurry and don’t have a lot of time on my hands to get ready. I give this foundation a 10/10. If you have any foundations you would like for me to review let me know!
I get so excited every single year when this sale comes every year. Nordstrom brings out all their upcoming fall clothing and accessories and they put it on major sale after the sale is over the prices go back up to regular price. I want to round up some of my favorite things from this sale that I purchased. I was going to do a try on haul but I am currently recovering from knee surgery so that would of been a little difficult.
Such a great deal considering the size of the big bottle and you still get a considerable sized travel lotion.
There is so much more I still hope to shop. Some of the items I have been eyeing have sold out unfortunately so I only linked items that are available. I think this is such a great chance to shop items that are brand new and on sale. Enjoy the shopping!
I wanted to share what I wear in a typical workweek. I have a desk job and I can’t deny the fact that sometimes I struggle with putting things together. I want to share week outfits with y’all. I like very neutral colors and being comfortable is truly my main goal. I will be linking either the same items I am wearing or similar ones if I can’t find them for you. Nothing is too expensive because let’s be real I am on a budget. I also realized after doing this post that I only wear black pants.
I tend to keep it very simple and I like neutrals. I have invested in pieces that are a bit more expensive but in general my wardrobe consists with affordable pieces because let’s be real I am on a budget.

I have been on the search for a pair of comfortable and natural looking hair extensions. I have very thin hair and I have zero volume. I consider my hair a huge wreck to be completely honest. My hair is naturally curly so I needed something that wouldn’t add more steps to my hair routine. I found the Bellami Bell-Air hair extensions on QVC and I decided to give them a try since they offered easy pay and a good return policy. These extensions run at $199. I will be reviewing the hair extensions and sharing how my hair looks without hair extensions. These extensions have the halo like application and they come in a very luxurious package. The package includes the three piece hair extensions, a hair wand that doubles as a hair straightener, a hair brush, hair clips and a bag to store them in. I purchased them in the color off black.
Like I said these hair extensions come in a very fancy packaging. I chose the 12 inch ones because I was hoping that my extensions looked somewhat natural. They do come in different lengths.
When you get the package you have the Step 1 option where they include one of the side pieces so that you can test out the color and make sure it matches before you open the rest of the hair extensions.
This is me with natural hair as you can see it is very short and very thin. I will apologize in advanced for my hair part. I did curl my hair with the wand that came with the package.
Before putting in my hair extensions I parted my hair as the instructions said. I left a good amount of hair in the front to make sure that my extensions blended correctly.
This is the main piece. It is super thick but at the same time lightweight. It has the string and has three clips to attach it to your head.
This is how my hair looks with just my main piece in. If I wanted I think I could pull off just wearing the main piece. I feel like the length looks natural.
These are the side pieces. They have a seamless application. They are very light and the clips are so small and discreet especially since these are the pieces that go in the front of your head.
This is how they look with all the pieces in my head. I completely love them. I personally think they look very natural. They are so comfortable and lightweight I honestly didn’t feel them all day. I highly recommend them. I will include some additional pictures with my hair straightened out.
My final opinion on these hair extensions is that I love them and the application of them. They are amazing. I have used hair extensions my whole life and have purchased many brands and I will say the quality is good on these. The hair wand works best as a hair wand and not so much as a hair straightener. love all the products that are included in this package I do think you get a lot for your money.

I had previously reviewed the Morphe Vegan Brushes and while I completely loved those brushes the sculpt and define makeup brushes are probably my favorite. My husband purchased two sets for me for my birthday. I have had these for a solid 6 months now so I feel like I can give an honest review.
This set comes in a 11 piece and they are very good quality they run at $59. They are made with synthetic bristles and it does include a travel bag. The brushes are super soft and they feel so luxurious. I can honestly say that I love all the brushes and I use them constantly. The only cons to this set is that it does not come with a foundation brush, on the website there is no description on the brushes individually and I personally don’t think this is the brush set for a beginner. This is a great addition to someone who already has basic brushes and wants to add more high quality ones to their connection.
I highly recommend these brushes they are so nice and high quality. As you can tell I have been using them non stop.

I am currently on the search for more affordable makeup options and I picked up a few items that I will be reviewing over the next few weeks for you. The new Physicians Formula Healthy Foundation caught my eye mostly because of the packaging.
This foundation comes in 12 shades which is decent but I do think that area could use some improvement because I had a rough time finding my correct shade. This foundation states that it’s supposed to brighten, hydrate, and even out your skin tone while maintaining a natural look. I have combination skin and currently during winter I tend to be a little on the dry side. I will say that I love the packaging on this foundation! It looks just like the packaging Dior uses on some of their foundations. Love the applicator it is easy to use. I think that at $12.99 it is pretty affordable drug store option. I will say immediately I noticed a weird smell with the foundation it kind of reminded me of the smell of paint. I know that sounds odd but that is just my honest opinion. The smell did not bother me at all because it wasn’t an overpowering smell.
Here I am with absolutely no makeup just my regular skin care. I like to truly share what my skin looks like with no makeup on because you can really tell if the foundation makes a difference. I have a very uneven skin tone, I have freckles and I have the occasional breakout.
This is how the foundation looks with no other makeup products on my face. It provides a very natural look but at the same time it is full coverage. The foundation is very matte.
I chose a very natural makeup look with the foundation. I think I did struggle a little with the shade of the foundation I don’t particularly feel like any of the shades really matched me. I like the coverage and I liked how lightweight it was on my skin. The foundation did not feel moisturizing but it did brighten up my skin tone and evened it up. My makeup lasted all day for the most part. After a long day I did notice that the foundation did start to get a little cakey around my nose. I think that if you are very dry I wouldn’t recommend this foundation due to how matte it is. Overall this is a good foundation for the price. If you look below at the closeup it looks very natural and the rest of my makeup lays nicely on top of the foundation. If you would like for me to review any products leave your suggestions below!
My husband bought me these brushes and another set for my birthday back in September and I have been using them non stop! I feel like I have been using them for long enough to give an honest review on them.
This is one of the brush sets that I decided for. I bought it directly from Morphe and I did use the promo code Jaclyn Hill offers her subscribers when purchasing, it saved me 10 percent. I decided for this particular brush set because I felt like it had a good variety of brushes that I know I would actually use. This particular set comes with a nice travel case like the one pictured above.
The brushes are decent quality especially for the price. My most used brushes from this set would be the Deluxe Medium Foundation Brush, Deluxe Tapered Powder Brush (I use this for my bronzer), Deluxe Blending Crease Brush, Deluxe Precision Crease Brush, Deluxe Crease Brush, and the Chisel Shader Brush. I think this is a great set if you don’t have any brushes and are looking for a decent quality yet affordable set. I don’t like that the brushes aren’t numbered. I also don’t think they feel super high end like other sets they offer but for the price you really can’t beat it. I really love that there is a huge variety and they don’t shed at all unlike other brands I have owned. As you can see above I own tons of brushes and I can say I truly enjoy these.
Look at the packaging and the colors are just to die for! I love that they are all wearable colors. They are so easy to work with and they are so creamy! I probably own over 20 eyeshadow palettes and this one has been my go to palette lately.
In the swatches you can tell how creamy the eyeshadow look! These eyeshadows work best applying them with your fingers. I will say that is my only negative. I am a bit weird about using my fingers to apply makeup but these eyeshadows are so good that I am willing to make an exception.
The packaging is so beautiful I really hope that Tarte comes out with more products with the same packaging! The three bigger foil finger paints are more of an eyeshadow consistency the two smaller ones feel like glitter.
I am wearing the lightest color in the palette which is called Gold Coast. I feel like this is a very neutral natural color for everyday use. I find it to be completely appropriate for work or school.
I am by no means a makeup artist but overall this is a must buy eyeshadow palette. The quality is there and I truly feel like the price is very reasonable at $39.00.

I love trying out new products and I love buying makeup. I came across this foundation and decided I needed to purchase it and review! Bare Minerals is mostly known for their powder foundations that to be honest I have not been a fan of in the past. When I saw a liquid foundation I was instantly drawn to it. It comes in 30 shades so I truly feel like almost everyone would be able to find their shade. It states that this foundation is good for the skin and that its supposed to offer a matte and full coverage application for 24 hours. I will show you how I look before makeup and with the foundation on so that you can see the kind of coverage it provides. I will be applying it with my beauty blender.
So this is how I look without makeup! I have pretty decent skin other than the occasional breakout on my chin area. This is after I had done my complete skin care routine and applied my face primer.
This is a scary picture but half of my face has the foundation and the other half has none and as you can see the difference is huge!
So I applied all the foundation and my first impression is that it’s very matte! I have combination skin and do have some dry patches and I noticed that it wasn’t clinging to any of them. It doesn’t emphasize pores either and it’s very lightweight.
So after finishing up my whole makeup application I have to say I truly love this foundation it gives my skin a lightweight feel and it makes my skin feel airbrushed. I think that the price is very reasonable as well especially since it is considered a “high-end brand”. I am very impressed by Bare Minerals and feel like they have really stepped up their make up game! I will leave below all my makeup details.
