My Skin Care Must Haves

I am very passionate about makeup and beauty. It is something that I really enjoy to do and I especially really enjoy to purchase. My husband or my bank account don’t like my often trips into Sephora but what can I say I can’t help myself. Over the years I have tried tons of makeup and my makeup collection is pretty impressive for not being a professional makeup artist but because I have tried so much I do feel like I have some knowledge I would like to share that with you!

Skin Care

It is very important to really take care of your skin. Your skin is the canvas for makeup and with bad skin your application of makeup won’t go as smoothly. I have dry skin and I have tried everything you can imagine to help my skin not feel like its cracking.

Face Washing Tool: Clarisonic Mia 2 Sonic Cleansing System w/ IT Cosmetics  $119.98

This is my must have cleansing tool. I started using my Clarasonic right after I had a double jaw surgery and my face broke out in really bad cystic acne. I decided I needed something that would truly get into my pores and clean my face. This truly helped my skin out a lot I would highly recommend you to invest in one. The Clarasonic Mia 2 that I linked above is the best deal I have found. It come with two heads and even some skin care products plus QVC.com always has some good payment options available.

Face Wash: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser – 20 oz (Bonus Size) $16.89

This is a drug store face wash and I not only love the price but the actual product is amazing! It does not foam up but it works so well with removing makeup and it does not break me out. After I wash my face with this cleanser my face does not feel super tight and dry. This has completely changed the game for my skin. I just put it on my Clarasonic and let it do its magic.

Face Tone/ Treatment Lotion: Dr. Andrew Weil For ORIGINS™ MEGA-MUSHROOM SKIN RELIEF SOOTHING TREATMENT LOTION  $34.00

Origins is one of my favorite skincare brands. I tend to have sensitive skin at times and this is one of the only treatment lotions that doesn’t make my face feel super tight and dry. It also doesn’t sting when applying In the winter when it gets a little bit colder this provides some relief to my skin. Another recommended treatment lotion that I feel provides relief to my skin is the MAKE A DIFFERENCE™ PLUS+ REJUVENATING TREATMENT LOTION $25.50 also by Origins.

Day Cream: TATCHA The Water Cream $68.00

I recently started using the TATCHA Water Cream and I love it. I have dry skin and this really moisturizes my skin and it doesn’t make me feel all greasy like some thicker lotions do. A more inexpensive lotion that works very well that is super lightweight that I like to use when I don’t feel like spending too much money or I’m on a tighter budget would be the Cetaphil Daily Hydrating Lotion with Hyaluronic Acid, 3.0 Fluid Ounce

Night Cream: Origins HIGH-POTENCY NIGHT-A-MINS™ Mineral-Enriched Renewal Cream

Favorite Face Mask: ORIGINS Drink Up™ Intensive Overnight Mask to Quench Skin’s Thirst $27.00

This is by far my favorite mask. It really hydrates the skin over night and truly gets rid of any dry spots I may have. When I was recovery from my double jaw surgery my skin completely dried out and started to peel and this mask was all that would help me.

This is by far my favorite night cream it is so good and so moisturizing. I genuinely feel like when I wake up in the morning after going to sleep with this lotion my skin looks luminous and hydrated.

Skin Care is so important not only does it prevent any sun damage but it also protects against the cold weather. If you take care of your skin it will reward you in the long run. I know for me its important to prevent aging and I am trying to start as soon as possible.
